Ramallah, August 10, 2012 - EUPOL COPPS donated 11 laptops to the Palestinian Civil Police Logistics Department to address the needs of the PCP Inventory System.
The laptops will be distributed to the 11 West Bank districts and connected with the centralized database thus monitoring the inputs and outputs more efficiently by using real time data transmission system.
The laptops, which were handed over to the Assistant to the Chief of Police for Administration and Administrative Affairs Brigadier General Rashid Hamdan, will facilitate the work at the three logistics compounds that will become operational before year end.
The Spanish Cooperation Office in Jerusalem has funded the construction of the logistic complexes in Ramallah, Nablus and Bethlehem including a central warehouse, vehicles and IT workshops in addition to training. The construction of the 6-million project started in 2010 and is expected to handle the maintenance of the PCP 860 vehicles, IT equipment and radio devices belonging to the PCP.
EUPOLCOPPS Finance and Logistics Advisor has been heavily involved in supporting the PCP Logistics Department develop an inventory database system by providing the PCP with professional advice compiled with the home-made software they developed to efficiently run the logistics compounds.
