EUPOL COPPS organises a workshop on community policing

Ramallah, 19th February 2014 - EUPOL COPPS organised a workshop for trainers of the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) on community policing to strengthen bridges of communications with the Palestinian public.

The course, which was held in Ramallah and attended by 28 officers from nine districts and representatives from EUPOL COPPS, was delivered by PCP trainers to maximise the impact of community policing in all police districts in the occupied Palestinian territories.

A similar training will be held next week to include the remaining districts. The overall aim of the training is to enhance the trust of the public towards PCP in order to ensure their cooperation through further understanding the community policing among entire police officers.
