Tuesday, March 11, 2014 - EUPOLCOPPS Police advisers praised the performance of Palestinian Traffic Police who deployed random checkpoints to check validity of vehicles and proper documents.
Palestinian Traffic Police erected several checkpoints in the cities of Ramallah and al-Bireh on Tuesday and used modern traffic equipment that were recently supplied by EUPOL COPPS in order to cut down the number of road accidents and casualties.
The aim of supplying the equipment is to raise people’s awareness on road safety and to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians. The equipments gives more visibility to the Police officers while on line of duty and support them to investigate possible accidents.
