Ramallah, 30th April 2013 - Head of EUPOL COPPS Kenneth DEANE met the Interior Minister of the German Federal State of Brandenburg Dr. Dietmar WOIDKE at the Mission’s headquarters in Ramallah and briefed him on the Mission’s mandate in Palestine.
Mr. DEANE explained to the German delegation the Mission’s activities with its Palestinian interlocutors – The Palestinian Civil Police and the Criminal Justice Institutions – and the accomplishments that have been achieved as well as the challenges that the mission is facing.
Dr. WOIDKE expressed his appreciation for the role of EUPOL COPPS in helping the Palestinian Authority in building the Palestinian institutions.
The meeting was attended by the Head of Police Advisory Section and another four Mission members seconded by Germany, a key EU donor to the Palestinian Authority.
