Ramallah, 13th March 2013 - The Minister of Justice, Equality and Defence, Alan Shatter, paid an official visit to EUPOL COPPS’ Headquarters in Ramallah.
The Minister and his delegation met with EUPOL COPPS’ Head of Mission, Mr Kenneth DEANE, and with the Irish contingent of the Mission.
Mr DEANE briefed the Minister on the Mission’s mandate and daily activities, putting a particular emphasis on the support provided to the Palestinian Civil Police and the Criminal Justice Institutions in the area of human rights, accountability and oversight.
