New Deputy Head of EUPOL COPPS

Ramallah, 2nd September 2013 - Rodolphe Mauget (France) was appointed as the new Deputy Head of EUPOL COPPS Mission in the occupied Palestinian territories, effective from September 01.

The former Head of Police Advisory Section within the  Mission is no stranger to EUPOL COPPS. He was supervising the Mission in his capacity as a seconded National Expert/Police Expert to the European External Action Service (EEAS), Civilian Planning and Conduct Capability Direction, Conduct of Operations Unit in Brussels from 2010 until 2012.

Before that he joined EUPOL COPPS as a specialist police adviser during the early beginnings of the Mission in 2005 until 2009. During that period, Mauget had shared his experience with his Palestinian counterparts in several police fields.

The police major is the author of the Palestinian Civil Police Public Order Police forces Gaza and West Bank audit in 2006, then responsible for the building and organising of the  training program for the 750 police officers serving then in the 6 Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) Public Order Units in the West Bank from 2007 till 2008.
