Ramallah - 21st January 2013 - Chief Palestinian chief prosecutors met in Ramallah to discuss ways to strengthen the cooperation between the Appellate Unit and the districts to standardise procedures across the entire prosecutorial service.
About a dozen Chief Prosecutors from all West Bank districts held a three-hour meeting at the Attorney General Office to share and discuss standard procedures that have been prepared by the Appellate Unite chief prosecutors.
During the brainstorming session, the attendees shared experiences on practical aspects of appellate procedures and proposed amendments to the current appellate procedures.
Monday’s meeting served as a kick-off session for trainings to be held the West Bank districts in late February to shed more light on case preparation tools and how to write a statement of appeal. The project is funded and executed by EUPOL COPPS.
