Ramallah, 13 September 2011 - Three members of the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) recently participated in a four-day study trip to Finland to understand best police practices in running the new Palestinian Police Training School, located in the West Bank city of Jericho.
The participants from the PCP’s Training Administration, accompanied by two members of EUPOL COPPS Police Advisory Section, visited the Police College of Finland and observed a modern police training facility in full operation, at full capacity.
The objective of the study trip was to provide a timely developmental opportunity for the PCP Deputy Head of the Training Department, as well as Jericho Police Training School (JPTS) instructors and a logistics expert.
The study trip increased the participants’ knowledge, skills and abilities in the area of curriculum development and police training facility operation and management.
The study trip was coordinated in Finland by two former members of the EUPOL COPPS Police Advisory Section.
