Prague, 8th December 2012 - Three Palestinian public prosecutors, specilised in domestic violence prosecution, attended one week study visit in Czech Republic to raise their capabilities in police-prosecution cooperation.
The prosecutors visited several institutions in Prague such as the Judicial Academy, the Police Academy, the Regonal Court of Prague or the Ministry of Interior. The participants listened to thorough presentations from 18 speakers, including police officers, prosecutors, judges, witness experts, social workers and NGO’s representatives, enriching their know-how on these fields.
The topics that have been discussed were: police-prosecution cooperation with special focus on delegation of powers to police, police and prosecution procedures in the area of domestic violence, protection of witnesses, witness experts and cooperation of criminal authorities with social workers and NGOs.
