Ramallah, April 30 - The Finish Ministor of Interior, Päivi Räsänen, and her team paid a visit to EUPOL COPPS Mission in order to assess how Finland could better contribute and support EUPOL COPPS. Rodolphe Mauget, Deputy Head of the Mission, and other Mission members briefed the Finnish delegation on EUPOL COPPS ‘ activities and challenges, as well as the successes that have been achieved since the establishment of the Mission in 2006.
The Finnish Ministry of the Interior is responsible for the maintenance of domestic preparedness, development and coordination of the
EU crisis management. The Crisis Management Centre, CMC, in Kuopio is a centre of expertise operating under the administration of the Ministry of the Interior, which is responsible for the operative tasks related to domestic preparedness of crisis management.
