EUPOL COPPS sponsors training for Palestinian lawyers in the Czech Republic

June 06, 2014 - EUPOL COPPS Mission sponsored the attendance for two lawyers of the Palestinian Bar Association (PBA) at a training course on “The validity and admissibility of electronic evidence in cybercrime cases” in the Czech Republic. The course, which is part of a wider project aimed at enhancing the capacities of Palestinian lawyers in the field of cyber crime, was provided by the Academy of European Law (ERA).

The key areas of focus for this training were the challenges of dealing with digital evidence in criminal proceedings; the handling electronic evidence in cybercrime cases; and the presentation of practical examples on the collection, presentation, and admissibility of evidence in cybercrime cases.

With EUPOL COPPS support and cooperation with the Palestinian Bar Association, the beneficiaries of the training will replicate these trainings to lawyers throughout all districts in the West Bank.
