Ramallah, September 11, 2014 - EUPOL COPPS briefed a delegation from The Spanish Agency for International Development and Cooperation (AECID) about the Mission’s activities as well as co-ordination mechanisms between donors and implementers.
One of the activities of the Spanish funded projects was implementing the Standard Operating Procedures for the Palestinian Civil Police’s Family Protection Unit that EUPOLCOPPS is advising on. The AECID will also focus on issues pertaining to domestic violence, gender and traffic safety.
The new head of AECID, Javier Goizueta, expressed his satisfaction at the successful completion of previous projects for the PCP that were funded by Spain. He said the AECID’s intends to further contribute to the capacity building for the PCP with the constant support and in coordination with EUPOL COPPS advisers."
