Ramallah - 22nd January 2015 - EUPOL COPPS Mission organized a two-day workshop on enhancing mechanisms and procedures to improve the protection of the victims of domestic violence, involving the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) and the Attorney General Office (AGO).
During the two sessions held in the West Bank city Ramallah, EUPOL COPPS advisers from the Police Advisory Section facilitated discussions among 35 participants coming from the PCP Family and Juveniles Protection Unit (FJPU) and Specialized Prosecution on Domestic and Gender-based Violence, representing all West Bank districts.
EUPOL COPPS experts explained to the attendees the best international practices in the field of risk assessment tools to prevent the victims of domestic violence from being re-assaulted and the importance of building partnerships with relevant stakeholders from public institutions as well as civil society.
