Ramallah, 26th February 2015 - EUPOL COPPS attended the International Stakeholder Seminar "Transformation for Justice" in Ramallah organized by the employees of the Ministry of Justice in the presence of H.E. the Prime Minister Dr. Rami Al-Hamdallah. Five teams presented their achievements in the past three years to international organizations active in the Justice Sector.
The Ministry of Justice transformation process, set up by British transformation experts Social Pioneers and funded by the British Consulate General has been fully supported by EUPOL COPPS mission in Ramallah. The Acting Deputy Head of EUPOLCOPPS, Mr. Owen Dobson, gave a speech, on behalf of the Head of Mission, in which he underlined the importance of : “protecting the rights of all citizens and the primacy of the Rule of Law. To do this, it is vital that the Palestinian Justice Sector has a strong Ministry of Justice that enhances and protects the rule of law, which guarantees the independence of the judiciary and is the key developer of policy for the justice sector and which promotes equality and non-discrimination before the law.”
