Ramallah, 16th March 2015 - EUPOL COPPS Head of Mission met with the Minister of Justice in his offices in Ramallah. The purpose of the meeting was to brief the Minister on the strategic review process which the mission is currently undergoing, as well as briefly highlight key areas of cooperation that the mission would like to undertake with the Ministry of Justice in the coming year. The Gaza based Minister is currently in Ramallah following a visit to London facilitated by EUPOL COPPS and the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law, and funded by the UK Government’s Arab Partnership Fund. It was EUPOL COPPS’s and the UK Consulate General’s efforts in facilitating the Minister’s travel out of Gaza to participate in the visit to London, which enabled the Minister to visit the Ministry of Justice in Ramallah for the first time since his appointment.
