Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law facilitates roundtable discussion with key Palestinian Justice Sector institutions

Ramallah, 26 March 2015 - EUPOL COPPS and the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law facilitated a roundtable discussion funded by the UK Arab Partnership Fund for all key justice officials -- Chief justice, Minister of Justice, Attorney General, along with the Legal Advisor to the President. The aim of the workshop was to further discuss and agree upon positions already taken in London on better defining the roles and mandates of the key justice institutions.  After the discussions, EUPOL COPPS Head of Mission joined the discussion along with the Chairman of the Bingham Centre Sir Jeffrey Jowell and stressed that assisting the Palestinian Justice Sector Institutions in better clarifying their respective roles and mandates would be a key goal of the Mission in the coming year.
