On 7 and 8 June, EUPOL COPPS facilitated a workshop on Asset Recovery. The focus of this workshop was on the international recovery of the proceeds of crime. Beneficiaries of the workshop were specialized judges of the Corruption Crimes Court, prosecutors of the Palestinian-Anti-Corruption Commission, members of the Ministry of Justice and the Palestinian Financial Follow-up Unit. The presentations of the workshop were conducted by two German experts. This workshop is the second and last of a two-workshop project aiming to further enhance the capacities in the fight against corruption and to foster the Rule of Law in Palestine. This project is launched through the Palestinian Judicial Institute as the official Palestinian training institution to conduct capacity building activities for the judiciary.
