On 09 December 2015, EUPOL COPPS Police advisers participated in a graduation ceremony for 19 Palestinian Civil Police officers in the Northern West Bank District of Tubas. The police officers were trained while on duty by PCP trainers on a number of topics such as crime scene management, vehicle search, traffic accidents investigation and arrest. EUPOL COPPS Mission which has been advising the PCP, had introduced the idea of In-Service training in the past and helped with the necessary equipment to execute the training. The In-service training will be gradually implemented in all West Bank districts. These trainings are designed to cut additional cost as the targeted officers who are supposed to receive the training don’t have to travel to Palestinian College for Police Sciences in Jericho to receive such courses. The same training is ongoing in Salfit district, where EUPOL COPPS Police Advisers supported it as well.
