
On 18 January 2016, EUPOL COPPS police advisers participated in an inauguration ceremony of the construction of eight community policing stations in the West Bank. The ceremony, which was held on Monday 18 January in Aqraba village near Nablus, was also attended by the Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, EU Representative Ralph Tarraf, and German Representative Peter Beerwerth. The newly established police stations, which were funded by the European Union, are being efficiently organized and used by the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP). EUPOL COPPS and other stakeholders provided police training in these projects and in order to help the PCP to further increase public trust in the police.
