On 23 March 2016, EUPOL COPPS Deputy Head, Mrs Lena Larsson, expressed her heartfelt condolences to the families of the Brussels attacks victims today in the name of the mission. She condemned these attacks which blindly targeted innocent people. "Terrorism is a scourge that claimed lives many time more in this region, the Middle East, than in Europe. We all have to keep that in mind when mourning the Brussels victims" she added. Mrs Larsson also quoted HRVP Federica Mogherini, saying that yesterday was a very sad day for Europe.
The Palestinian Civil Police took part in this 2 minutes silence ceremony and strongly condemned the authors of the Brussels attacks.”
