Workshop on domestic violence in Qalqiliya

On 12 April 2016, EUPOL COPPS supported a workshop on violence against women and children in Qalqiliya. The workshop focused on the importance of networking and referrals between all relevant sectors when dealing with those cases of violence. The participants were prosecutors and police officers from the Family Protection and Juvenile Unit (FPJU), along with other partners from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Health and from Human Rights and Civil Society organizations dealing with domestic violence. This is the first workshop in a series of six that will be held in the West Bank districts during April and May. In May last year, EUPOL COPPS supported two similar workshops in Jenin and Ramallah.
