On 13 April 2016, EUPOL COPPS Police Advisers delivered training and IT equipment to the Palestinian Civil Police. This equipment, which was funded by the United Kingdom, will be used in all Palestinian police districts for the continuous professional development Training. The delivery includes handcuffs, belts, mattresses, laptops, cameras, first aid and crime kits. The Mission’s advisers have introduced the training programme for the PCP in the past and have been assisting their trainers and trainees during such courses that meet international standards.
The In Service Training is designed to provide training to personnel while on duty. Such technique works well for the PCP because it enables the officers to get hands-on approach on various training topics without abandoning their positions. The programme is also more cost effective as it cuts travel cost to the PCP training facility in Jericho.
