On 20 April 2016, EUPOL COPPS Mission and the Birzeit University started on Wednesday a series of weekly training sessions in legal English language and legal terminology. The training is based on a request from the Palestinian Ministry of Justice and includes legal staff and legislative drafters from the Office of the President, the Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Justice and Interior as well as representatives of the Attorney General’s Office. The training is designed to enhance the language skills of the legal staff and legislative drafters of the various departments and to improve their knowledge of English legal concepts and terminology in the areas of rule of law, human rights, criminal justice, policing and technical legal drafting. The sessions will continue until 25 May 2016.
