On 05 May, 20016, a high ranking EUPOL COPPS delegation participated in the opening ceremony of the Palestine Arab Safety week that started on Wednesday. The event, which runs for a week in neighbouring Arab countries under the slogan “Your Safety is Important to us”, has been implemented with the support of EUPOL COPPS with a close coordination with Palestinian Civil Police and other stakeholders. The ceremony was funded by the United Kingdom. The annual ceremony aims at raising awareness amongst palestinian public on road safety measures and traffic regulations.
