
On 16 August, EUPOL COPPS held the opening Ceremony for In-Service training in Jericho. After two successful In-Service trainings in Tubas and Jenin, the next session of In-Service training started in Jericho. During the session, Colonel Adul-Hakim Abu Al Rub explained the conduction and time schedule of the In-Service training. Two courses with 11 participants will take place in turns every week, the total course will consists of 50 hours, 10 hours per week. In the first course, four police women were participating. EUPOL COPPS is able to start this new phase as new equipment was delivered in July 2016 for the rest of the police districts. In-Service Training is a model of training delivered at local level, allowing PCP Officers to benefit from training programmes while on duty in their units of assignment, in a real-life operational environment. EUPOL COPPS Advisers are assisting the trainers and trainees during the course and are providing advice on how to follow techniques according to international standards.
