This weekend a joint delegation of EUPOL COPPS and the Traffic Department of the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) participated in Manchester in the Road safety for Europe Conference which was organized by the European Traffic Police Network (TISPOL).
TISPOL organisers showed the three senior Palestinian police officers and advisers from EUPOL COPPS the latest equipment they use to investigate serious and fatal collisions.
During the five-day trip, which was funded by the UK, the participants visited a driving school to learn more about the technique of stopping speeding vehicles and conducting breathalyzer tests on motorists.
In the last two days of the trip, the attendees visited Cheshire Police to have a look at the best international practices and strategic approaches to Traffic Safety. The PCP is exerting tireless efforts to reduce the number of casualties of road accidents in Palestine.
