On 18 October 2016, EUPOL COPPS police advisers attended the closing ceremony for “In-Service” Training in Salfit, involving 11 police officers. The training included many topics such as cybercrime, gender, narcotic law, report writing, arrest and control without using exaggerated force and interviewing suspects. The participants carried out practical exercises, in presence of the Mission’s advisers.
In-Service Training is a model of training delivered at local level, allowing PCP Officers to benefit from training programmes while on duty in their units of assignment, in a real-life operational environment. EUPOL COPPS Advisers are assisting the trainers and trainees during the course and are providing advice on how to follow techniques according to international standards. The technique was implemented in several West Bank districts.
