Meeting with Palestinian justice institutions

On 23 November 2016, Mr. Gabor Iklody, Director of Crisis Management and Planning Directorate (CMPD) of the European External Action Service (EEAS) held a meeting at EUPOL COPPS Mission in Ramallah, where he met with the Legal Advisor to the President, Mr. Hassan El-Oury, and representatives from Palestinian Justice Institutions (Ministry of Justice, the office of the Attorney General and the High Judicial Council) to discuss current and future challenges to the Palestinian criminal justice system.  During the fruitful discussions, the ongoing support from the European Union was analysed in order to better define future engagement for  EUPOL COPPS in the justice sector, in terms of continuous support to legislative drafting and capacity building activities.
