On 8 of December 2016, EUPOL COPPS Mission concluded a specialized training course on Major Incident Management for Palestinian Civil Police (PCP).
During the training taking place in Jordan, 12 Palestinian police officers from all West Bank districts and central Operations room received presentations on various topics such as relationship between media and major incidents, Communication Crisis management and Communication with the public.
A training on Operational Planning was also part of the various courses which used a wide range of scenarios. The overall objective of the training is to provide the PCP with a further professional management of major incidents.
This training provided an opportunity for the PCP participants to network face to face with their Jordanian counterparts.
It is expected that this advance training will lead to a continuation of PCP’s capacity building in the area of First Responders and operational planning.
